I firmly believe the gear a cinematographer uses is not nearly as important as how that gear is used. But I also believe it’s important to have a set of tools that is ready for any shoot. The truth is, we cinematographers are gear junkies. So we tend to talk about our gear as if it’s part of our family. It kinda is.
